Minimal Thermal Dilution

Unlike traditional arc welding, our PTAW systems compress the electric arc through a copper nozzle, concentrating energy. 1. What is the difference between PTA cladding and Laser Cladding?
PTA (Plasma Transferred Arc) cladding uses a constricted plasma arc as the heat source to melt both the substrate surface and the metal powder. Laser Cladding uses a concentrated laser beam, which delivers lower heat input, a narrower Heat Affected Zone (HAZ), and very low dilution rates, making it ideal for thin coatings and precision components.
